Azara Healthcare develops solutions to support all aspects of population health including quality measurement, care management, cost and utilization analysis, and provider and patient engagement. Their clients use their solutions to pursue customized population health initiatives, payer-driven value-based contracts, and meet state and federal government reporting requirements.

Expanding the Visual Brand

Azara Healthcare first approached Liminal East to create a set of social graphic templates. The limitations of their visual brand were immediately apparent—they had a logo, brand typeface, color palette, and an icon set, but there was no defined way to use the elements in design.

We approached the social template designs with the intent to further define Azara’s visual brand guidelines.

We presented 3 concepts that each applied the existing brand elements in different ways. Each concept explored the abstract idea of “data.”

Concept A

Distinguishing features:

A simplified color palette, focused on the greens and grays of Azara’s existing palette.

A circle and wave motif, inspired by the Azara leaf logo, that can be expanded in the future.

Green overlay applied to grayscale photography or the use of full-color images with interesting crops.

Data-related patterns used in backgrounds and as textures over images. 

Concept B

Distinguishing features:

Light blue added to the simple color palette of A.

All elements are placed with intentional precision. An underlying 8x8 grid system organizes shapes, photos, text areas, and data-inspired textures.

Transparent and overlay shapes added for interest and to guide the viewer’s eye through the graphic.

Concept C

Distinguishing features:

A bold color palette, incorporating Azara’s existing palette in its entirety.

A “dark mode” aesthetic presents data in an energetic and exciting way.  

A Path Forward

Azara loved the technical and clean aesthetic of Concept B and felt it was an accurate representation of who they were.

We brought in the full color palette, but established rules regarding which, and how many, colors could be used together. And we created a set of technical illustration patterns for Azara to use as background graphics as needed.

Over the past year, we have applied the now more defined visual brand to a robust template system, digital reports, and promotional digital graphics.

The SDOH Resource & Strategy Guide illustrates how practices can effectively leverage SDOH data to advance healthy equity priorities in three easy to follow steps. The 24-page report and checklist includes examples of how organizations have used these insights, together with Azara DRVS tools, to support their population health and health equity initiatives.

An Inside Look at How Organizations are Transitioning to Value-Based Care.

Azara Healthcare conducted an independent survey of 91 healthcare leaders to hear how organizations felt their transitions to value-based care were progressing. The findings were shared in a 17-page digital report.
